Section 1Acceptance
By downloading or using Septic Inspector Pro ("the app"), you agree to these Terms of Use. If you do not agree, do not use the app. Your use of the app is also subject to Apple's standard Licensed Application End User License Agreement.
Section 2What the App Is — and Is Not
Septic Inspector Pro is a documentation and reference tool. It is not a substitute for professional licensing, certification, jurisdiction-specific inspection requirements, or engineering judgment.
You are responsible for:
- Holding any license, certification, or registration your jurisdiction requires to perform septic inspections or installations.
- Verifying every sizing value, setback distance, and design parameter against the code of the jurisdiction where the work is performed. The app's calculators and reference tables use typical values in the style of common national guidance; local code always governs and frequently differs.
- The accuracy and completeness of every inspection you document and every report you deliver to a client.
Section 3No Professional Advice
Nothing produced by the app — calculations, checklists, reference values, or generated reports — constitutes engineering, legal, or regulatory advice. Reports generated by the app reflect only the information you entered.
Section 4Purchases
The lifetime unlock is a one-time, non-consumable in-app purchase processed by Apple. It applies to your Apple Account and can be restored on your devices through the "Restore Purchases" option. Refunds are handled by Apple under Apple's refund policies.
Section 5Your Data
All app data is stored locally on your device (see the Privacy Policy). You are responsible for maintaining your own device backups. Deleting the app permanently deletes its data.
Section 6Disclaimer of Warranties
The app is provided "as is" and "as available," without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including fitness for a particular purpose, accuracy of reference values, and non-infringement. We do not warrant that the app will be error-free or uninterrupted.
Section 7Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, the developer shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or exemplary damages — including lost profits, failed inspections, regulatory penalties, or property damage — arising from your use of, or inability to use, the app. Total liability for any claim shall not exceed the amount you paid for the app in the twelve months preceding the claim.
Section 8Changes
These terms may be updated as the app evolves. Material changes will be reflected by a revised effective date above. Continued use of the app after changes constitutes acceptance.
Section 9Governing Law
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Texas, without regard to conflict-of-law principles.
